1. Agreement

By accessing or using Meel ("the Service") at meelapp.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. The Service is operated by Adil Oravingal, VIT University Chennai, Kilambakkam–Vandalur Rd, Chennai, Tamil Nadu – 600127, India.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Meel is a cloud-based mosque and mahallu management platform that enables:

• Household and family member registry management
• Fee billing, collection, and receipt generation
• Donation tracking (direct donations and Jumua collections)
• Fundraiser creation and management
• Community statistics and reporting
• A self-service house portal for community members

3. Eligibility

The Service is intended for use by mosque committees, mahallu organisations, and their authorised administrators. By registering, you represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of your organisation and are at least 18 years of age.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@meelapp.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You must ensure the accuracy of data entered into the platform.

5. Pricing and Billing

Meel charges ₹2 (Indian Rupees two) per registered household per month.

• Monthly billing: Charged at the beginning of each month based on the number of registered households.
• Annual billing: Charged upfront based on the current household count at ₹2 per household × 12 months.
• There are no setup fees, hidden charges, or per-user fees.
• Prices are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to revise pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice by email. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. Accepted methods include UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, and bank transfer. We do not store card or payment credentials on our servers.

If a payment fails, access to premium features may be suspended until the outstanding amount is settled.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent data
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Service in a way that disrupts or damages its availability

9. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Meel. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will never use your community's data for commercial purposes or share it with third parties outside the scope of service delivery.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content comprising the Meel platform are the exclusive property of Adil Oravingal. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our intellectual property other than as necessary to use the Service.

11. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

12. Termination

By you: You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at support@meelapp.in. Refer to our Refund Policy for applicable refunds.

By us: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meel and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
